About Us

5.jpg

Our club caters to persons wanting to train their dog(s) in a controlled setting while following the club rules.

The Barbados Working Dogs Association is a club that focuses on the sport of IGP (known as Schutzhund) which is a protection dog sport encompassing the disciplines of tracking, obedience, and protection.

This sport is the foundation on which military and police service dogs are trained and selected, and as such requires a high level of control within each of the separate but connected disciplines.

The level of obedience we do far exceeds the requirements of the typical pet owner however the fundamentals are the same.
